Common questions

What is companion planting?

Growing certain plants near each other so they help rather than compete: some repel pests, some attract pollinators, some shade or feed their neighbors. The chart below lists the pairings for every crop in the Dibble library.

Which plants should never be planted together?

The "keep apart" column covers the classic conflicts: heavy feeders that compete for the same nutrients, plants that share a pest or disease, and families that stunt each other. Keep those pairs in separate beds, or at opposite ends of a long one.

Does Dibble check my bed layout for me?

Yes. In the app's bed planner, dropping two crops that do not get along next to each other raises a warning right in the layout, so you catch it before you plant.
